Woodward Receives a Hold from Barrington

Barrington analyst Matthew Gall maintained a Hold rating on Woodward (NASDAQ: WWD) today. The company’s shares opened today at $73.93.

Gall wrote:

“We are estimating GAAP EPS of $0.69 and sales of $526 million. Consensus is estimating EPS of $0.77 and sales of $526 million. Beginning with Q2/18 results, Woodward will begin reporting adjusted earnings, which will exclude one-time transaction and purchase accounting charges related to the L’Orange acquisition and incremental costs associated with the Duarte facility relocation. On April 9, Woodward, Inc. announced a signed agreement to acquire L’Orange from Rolls Royce Power Systems subsidiary MTU. The all-cash transaction is valued at €700 million, ($860 million at current exchange rates), and is expected to close by the end of the June 2018 quarter. L’Orange is a global leader in fuel injection technology and system provider for the industrial engine market, with a significant presence for diesel engines utilized by customers in transportation, oil & gas and power generation end markets. The company has a large installed base that supports a high margin aftermarket business.”
